Laurie Cousins, CMT-P
Integrative Healing Practitioner & Wellbeing Consultant
About Me
I am an Integrative Healing Practitioner and Wellbeing Consultant devoted to helping people remember their wholeness, reconnect with nature, and return to the wisdom of their inner knowing. My work weaves together decades of study and extensive training in mindfulness, somatic healing, intuitive healing, root-cause modalities, parts work, and nature-based therapy. I am also a mother of two incredible young adults, an eclectic spiritual seeker, and someone who believes deeply in our innate capacity for healing and transformation.
My personal healing journey has shaped everything I offer. As a survivor of trauma, I spent many years navigating anxiety, depression, compulsive patterns, nervous-system dysregulation, and fluctuations of hyper and hypo-vigilance. Over several decades, I worked with teachers, wisdom practices, indigenous healers, and therapeutic modalities that helped me reclaim my whole self—mind, body, and spirit. I began meditating at seventeen and consider myself a lifelong student. I don’t claim to have all the answers; I trust they already live within you. Often, we simply need attunement, care, and guidance to remember who we are beneath our survival strategies.
I believe healing is an integrative and relational process:
The body carries our survival patterns and instincts.
The mind carries our stories, perceptions, and clarity.
The spirit carries our truth, intuition, and purpose.
Healing happens when the mind, body, and spirit come back into relationship.
When this conscious and embodied relationship begins to connect, transformation becomes possible. My role is to support this compassionate reconnection through modalities that help the nervous system to regulate, unwind long-held patterns, and allow the whole self to gently reorganize into clarity, coherence, authenticity, and empowerment.
My Approach to Healing
I take an integrative, trauma-responsive mind–body–spirit approach that includes:
Mindfulness and Compassion Training
Somatic Healing and Nervous-System Regulation
Nature-Based Practices and Wolf-Assisted Therapy
Integral Eye Movement Therapy
Parts Work and Compassionate Inquiry
Root Cause and Intuitive Healing
Trauma-Informed Care and Neuroscience
This integrative path is what I practice, the foundation of how I live, and the heart of how I work with others.

"You have a unique body and mind, with a particular history and conditioning. No one can offer you a formula for navigating all situations and all states of mind. Only by listening inwardly in a fresh and open way will you discern at any given time what most serves your healing and freedom." - Tara Brach, True Refuge
